I'm not really sure why this was such a hot spot. There were loads of tour buses filled with Chinese tourists posing for pictures in front of the statue. There was nothing written in English about it at the site.

Near the Sands Hotel, there is time to go shopping about. Walk to Lotus Square from the Gran Prix Museum for some photo ops. Great at night

It's a Lotus statue given by China to Macau. It's a stop point for many tourists so it's always busy there, difficult (not to say impossible) to take a picture without anyone on it. Nice to see but nothing special to say about it.

This is just a lotus structure statue that was given by china to Macau. No other explanation is there. Nothing else to see other than this. Take a quick photo and move on. Located by thr F1 museum and wine museum.

As our tour guide tells, the lotus flower in full bloom symbolizes the everlasting prosperity of Macau. So that's why they have it there. Other than that, there's really no explanation on the history or structure whatsoever so we just take a snap and continue....More

Although it doesn't really tell explicitly, this structure symbolizes the lands sovereignty, richness in culture, history and material resources. It symbolizes its power and prowess too.

The park is rather plain, with the Lotus monument the only significant object of interest. This might have been the intent of those who designed the park to give importance to what the monument symbolizes- the return of Macau to sovereign China in 1999 after...More
