Welcome to the Castle Semple Visitor Centre and County Park listing. Please note this site one of several within the larger Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park. Castle Semple is located in Lochwinnoch Renfrewshire next to National Cycle Route 7 and just a short walk from Lochwinnoch Train Station. The Centre has a cafe and gift shop, provides free parking and entry as well as lots to do with great water, walks and wildlife. There is a Ranger Service who provide family friendly events and volunteer programmes throughout the year. There is also a highly qualified Outdoor Activity team with Instructors to guide you or your group through the techniques involved in sailing, kayaking, canoeing, powerboating, archery and loads more! The Centre is also fully equipped to be accessible to all, registered as Scotlands first Centre of Excellence for disability sailing in 2012.

This is a lovely park with great views of the loch. There is plenty to do for walkers and water sports. The cafe and visitor centre is available for refreshments and information, we didn't use this so can't comment but overall it is a good...More

I visit here regularly with friends as it's a lovely area to walk and relax. The scenery is lovely over the loch, and sitting looking at it is very therapeutic. The café is handy for a drink and a sandwich or a toilet break.

Have visited before and walked along loch front. Found walk through woods yesterday which was beautiful. Great for dog walking also very good cycle paths. Will visit again.

Can get soft drinks and tea,coffee etc but limited food choice and sandwiches run out early Walks are just ok for push chairs but quite muddy. Lots of dog walkers

Good wide range of activities and walks around the loch and surrounding areas. Hot drinks and snacks available along with good toilet facilities.

Lovely place to walk, cycle or just sit. Lots of wildlife and paths for all levels of mobility. Only down side is coffee shop staff to lazy to make americano and serving instant/filter instead.More

This is a great park with plenty of walking trails and a number of historic buildings. We climbed up to the temple and the views are terrific. The collegiate church is well worth visiting to see the old tombs and the architecture. The visitor centre...More
