We were sitting in a Barung just up from the turtle sanctuary last week and the eggs were under where we were sitting. The babies started to hatch in the middle of the day. It was fascinating. We watched the first one make it all the way to the water, struggling over coral and falling into large footprints in the sand, but it made it and it swam off. Very cute. Hope your son is lucky enough to experience it to.
