While this is a pretty cool site we were disappointed with the whole thing. We thought we were hiking up a valley to a nice waterfall. It is really an interesting series of falls and channels cut through the rock right above the entrance. There...More
we were greeted at the little ticket office by such a friendly young man who was a mine of information which he passionately wanted to share with us about the ravine and how the power from the waterfall was used. If you are passing through...More
We stumbled across the Orrido de Bellano when we stayed in the town of Bellano. It’s an awesome gorge leading to a waterfall that one may not even know was there if they didn’t walk back through the town.

It's a great set of waterfalls in the centre of the town. Used for silk works. Not sure if it's hydro-electric power now as the electricity board have one end of the deserted factory 🏭 ?

We went in high season in August and didn’t have any trouble finding a parking spot in a nearby car park, although we did arrive at the opening time at 10am. You do have to pay for the parking so make sure you have change for the machine but it wasn’t too expensive.
