Not only the ruins looks lovely, but the view all around is amazing and the little town of Orem is also a place to discover . A good 1 hour and half trip.

Our GPS decided this was the centre of Ourem, but it’s on a hill about the town. Great views of the surrounding area from the top.

We enjoyed our short visit to Ourem castle. It was very scenic and the views were terrific. Not a lot to do here, but glad we visited it.

The castle is a huge construction, with many different areas to visit which offer you great views from the city and areas around it. The medieval city under it is very well restored and amazing.

Visit the cemetery next door... it’s view to die for! Seriously if you have to be buried anywhere this is idyllic - at least people will get pleasure when they visit you

This is a ruin. It is large and easy to walk around. Need imagination to recreate the way it used to be. Very windy when we visited and likely to be windy most days.

Essentially the castle is uninhabitable and the hardest part would be the drive up to the top of the mountain subject to weather conditions. The working village would be open all year but expect a lot of visitors during... More
