This is a small nature reserve, very close to the Markt of Lokeren. As a result it is rather popular with locals, and at times can get quite busy. There is 1 route, for bikers and pedestrians, that makes a loop on the outskirts of...More

we've spent a great afternoon cycling around. Everything is so quiet and the trails are in good condition. There is a small bar at the main entrance, but we hadn't time to visit it.

Nice area for a long walk. Many different birds, nice wild flowers. It's a shame they keep the level of the water so low. Sometimes you see many dead fish ... but maybe keeping the level of the water has its reasons (birds, plants, ...)??

Nature reserve with a walking/biking path all around the natural lake/pond. There are several bird watching spots too, with explanation table( albeit only in Dutch). There is a wooden house where one can get information about the wildlife in the surroundings. brilliant with children!
