The trip to Albania was ok, although the boat left 30 minutes late. However the day was marred by the huge queue to get through passport control when we returned. Our boat arrived just after another boat so there were 200 people trying to get...More
Things started out alright for our trip to Albania. We were picked up by bus, on time, from our hotel in Paleokastritsa. We arrived at the boat in Corfu town just fine.

The total excursion lasted 13 hours from pickup to drop off. The boat is overcrowded and claustrophobic, with most of the seating indoors. The chairs on upper deck are hard plastic and found it uncomfortable. 7 hours is spent on the boat travelling which is...More

Hi, the port tax is €10, payable when you get on the boat in Corfu Town. Sarris are just one of the organised trips to Albania. Our excursion out to Butrint was using Sarris buses and we had a meal in a restaurant before returning to Saranda.
The hydrofoil is a much quicker crossing, at least 30 minutes shorter.
I presume you can take a taxi from Saranda to Butrint.
