Closed until further notice, probably forever? No one seems to know that, not the bus drivers nor the hotels, and there is still lots of signs to it. Very disappointing and I understand it has been closed for awhile. But as Elias at Hotel Atlantis...More

Be serious, do not even announce a further opening date if you are not sure to respect it. SHAME! The new museum is READY, we know it, you received 4,5 millions from the EU. What are you waiting for??????

Despite slightly misleading reviews below, the archaeological museum has been closed for some time for renovation. It is well over schedule and sadly there is still no anticipated date for its opening at this time. :( A another victim of the crisis.

Nice, clean, well lit. Excellent signage and cheap to get in. Nice for a rainy day or when then heat is oppressive.

Many coins, artifacts and statuary from ancient Greece and also Roman remains. It is a small museum, cheap entry fee and much to see.

I wouldn't make any bets on when it will open. The museum point of contact, according to their website, is efaker@culture.gr
