This stretch is probably the nicest part of Tenerife. Walking north, once you get past Fañabe, Duque is very upmarket and very nice to walk around. Nice shopping, great places to eat.

There were definitely people present but not overcrowded. The water was crystal clear, calm due to the season and the perfect temperature. Very clean beach with gorgeous views and sand. Topless sunbathing tolerated.
What a beautiful area, when you walk round the coast and see it the view it is amazing. We walked here last year from Las Americas. This year we stayed in Fanabe, we are returning in January and are staying in Playa Del Duque. Beautiful.

There is a pleasant broad paved easy-walking promenade along the coast at Costa Adeje, including Playa del Duque, which almost reaches La Caleta (and this was being extended when we were there earlier this year). To access the promenade from La Caleta you probably still have to use the less well-defined path. You will pass other beaches on the way to Playa del Duque. If driving it should take less than 10 minutes, but parking is likely to be difficult. Aim for C.C. Playa del Duque shopping centre and then look for parking.
