This is the best place to buy a hand woven carpet. Extensive variety. Good restaurant with good sushi. Make sure to visit.

We went there out of curiosity. It is fascinating to see the skillful weaver at work. The rugs and carpets on display were absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful woven carpets and rugs, quite a variety in size and color! Respect to the women weaving these rugs as it is a slow process and you need patience! Definitely worth visiting

We visited the gallery and store and wanted to experience the rugs with family from abroad. The store has a companion restaurant that seems to serve Asian cuisine.
We would have stayed and were interested in the products but could not comprehend how a business in South Africa shares xenophobic/ racist stereotypes as a joke. This is obviously unacceptable, and the aggressive response from the proprietor was likewise inappropriate, if not surprising.
We were shocked to get a rude response when our own enquiry was a question about why it's appropriate to hang jokes about ethnicity on the wall. With an international group, it was embarrassing to reinforce again that SA has not transformed and a business owner feels it's ok to air these views.
Sad and disappointing.

We stopped at the workshop not really knowing what to expect, but we were still surprised!
Very interesting and educational to see the skill of the ladies using huge looms to weave the rugs. Needless to say a rug found its way into our home...

So amazing to see the huge looms they use to weave the rugs! You develop a whole new respect for the weavers when you see how a rug is put together!
