Within the chateau there is so much to see, but don't miss the collection of tapestries, the amazing Iznik pottery plates from Istanbul, silverwork and the amazing Charles V's clockwork boat (ask the attendant to put on the short video). So many beautiful and different things.

Park surrounding the Chateau d'Ecouen with free entry and some views and walks to be had. Just to the south of the entrance by the chateau is also an old fort - Fort d'Ecouen, but not open to the public. Enjoy the walk - free parking abounds in the area.

Special charme of the village and castle; pleasant stay and a young o'doner restaurant: very good. Not excessively crowded.

you need to spend time in this lovely garden surrounding the renaissance garde, you will have a very nice overview of the castle but also of the area. Only drawback is airplane landing at 20 miles and they overflight every 5 minutes the castle

Good hiking, beautiful nature, up and down the hills and enjoy the castle. Nice and quiet and has the remains of the hunting history.

Take a tour around the chateau without anything to block your view. The chateau is intact and quite beautiful! The park behind it is lovely, forested, and has some easy walking trails. Lovely way to spend some time outdoors.

Not a great deal to experience in the park in February but we enjoyed approaching the Chateau and Renaissance museum by walking though the "foret" from the station to the chateau. Would be even. Over in good weather with trees and flowers in bloom.

The park is interesting above all for the views it offers of the castle and the panorama of the plain of France from the north terrace.
For the rest it is very classic: two grassy flowerbeds in front of the west facade, a wood enclosed by walls and crossed by several paths, some of which offer a nice view of the castle.
Nice walk to complement the visit to the castle but not worth the detour for its own sake.
As everywhere in the area, the constant noise of planes takes precedence over the song of birds every minute. It’s a shame but the site staff can’t do anything about it and must even regret it…
