This five towers Castle protected by a moat has a lot of charm and many odds and ends nestled within. Pleasant surroundings and an authentic feeling. Very few tourists around.

Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon wandering around wonderful Sarzay Castle and its grounds. Once inside, you are transported way back in time as you wander among the authentic furnishings, weaponry, and other artifacts, complete with stuffed animal heads around the walls. The grounds are lovely and...More

If you really love to explore on your own and having a good old poke around this is definitely for you! Health and safety police haven't reached this part of France and that makes this place a little gem!!! Beware of your little ones exploring...More

You can feel the age of this chateau which is beautifully situated and clearly a restoration work in progress. A visit is reasonably priced and for much of the time we were there we had it to ourselves. Rooms are furnished in ways appropriate to...More

One of the most fascinating Chateaux I've ever visited, the proprietors should be very proud of all they have achieved, no frills, just ancient restoration project.
