The official name is "Tangshan Earthquake Relief Memorial Hall" as indicated on the ticket. Entrance is free and you need to present an ID. The museum is closed on Monday. Photo taking within the premise is not allowed. There are two levels of exhibits with...More

Gives a very good impression of the disaster from 1976 and the hardship the people of Tangshan had to endure. Free entrence. You advised to bring your passport for idintification.

Outstanding exhibits - and most things were written in both Chinese and English to allow visitors to understand. My gf's family were victims and we were able to see their names on the wall. This place acts as a designated earthquake shelter, offers beautiful sculpture...More

I finally got a chance to visit the Museum the first time after the 1976 quake to see the city's yesterday through the numerous heart-breaking exhibits. its was built on the previously quake site, but without seeing the relics of a building, the Memorial Wall...More

You can only read and listen in Chinese but no English (at list when was there). But pictures were talking themselves of pain and suffer of people. Also about their unity and human sensation.

Not only about the 1976 earthquake, but largely about future plans for Tangshan city and district, inclluding the port. Free entry with a passport or Chinese ID.
