Evolution is a concept based around safe and exciting scuba diving, good times and cold drinks with old and new friends, and a perfect blend of Filipino, Irish and English hospitality. With the paradise island of Malapascua in the Philippines as the backdrop, Evolution Diving has access to some one-of-a-kind dive sites, including the daily cleaning stations for thresher sharks at Monad Shoal. If you prefer macrolife, you can see most creatures on an experienced divers list, or you can get down and dirty in WWII wrecks and immerse yourself in the history that surrounds them.

Despite my 5 star review I do have a few reservations about Evolution (not least the name which is offensive to creationists such as Gary Busey, Mr T and the Pope) but let's start with the good: 1. The sea around the island is the...More

Completed my advanced certification, and my rescue diver course during our second stay on Malapascua. We love this beautiful, faraway little island, and our friends at Evolution! We're not super experienced divers but they always make us feel comfortable, safe, and at ease. They have...More

I like to read the bad reviews, even when a place has a large number of good reviews. In this case, most of them were just random rants from people a few years ago. This is a review based on the Tech training I did,...More

Spent our Anniversary here as they come highly recommended by our Dive Instructor George Dy Pay. The accommodations are great, clean and well maintained, the food at the Craic especially the breakfast and baked macaroni is really filling! They make their own bread which was...More

This is a stunning mid range resort on a perfect tropical sandy beach. It is not five star but affordable and ideal for a very comfortable island experience. Most importantly this is a VERY impressive dive centre with great credentials. I took my AOW and...More

I've been meaning to dive with the thresher sharks for years, but each business trip to Cebu has left me no time to make the trip up north to Malapascua. Finally, I had enough and decided to play hooky from a trade show. I had...More

I'd recommend speaking directly to the staff about your plans since I'm not an expert! The Monad Shoal where Threshers are often seen is at 30m, so your best chance of seeing them is to complete the OW and then arrange to do... More
