I didn’t attend services here but I stopped to admire the architecture and enjoy the plaza. The church interior is grand for a village parish, and don’t miss the modernist cross to the side. There are several restaurants (and a small supermarket!) along three sides of the square, with the lake and a gentle breeze on the fourth side. The church casts a generous shadow in the morning, for which I was grateful on hot days. No cars allowed. A nice spot to relax.…

Well worth calling in here as you wander through the town. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of this lovely place. Great for a short period of reflection. There are some interesting artifacts here as well.

The Church of St. Peter and Paul is the parish church of Torri del Benaco and was built in neoclassical style in the beginning of the 18th century. The new church replaced the previous Romanesque building because of its precarious conditions. The bell tower was built on the foundations of the old castle towers. The church has a single nave with four marble side altars. Beautiful are the ceiling frescoes and the 18th century organ above the entrance of the church. Worth a visit, admission is free.…
