Definitely worth a visit to see this ancient city ruin. Walk all through the ruins see spectacular views of the out lying islands breathe in the history of it all. Can either walk up from Kamari/ Perissa or catch a taxi from Kamari.

We stayed nearby at the Hotel Matina so visiting one was the closest things to do. It was a great walk via footpath to get up there initially which seemed much more interesting than walking up on the road. The bus stop is also really...More

It's a bit of adventure getting to the site as it's on top of a high hill with one road up and down but that is understating the type of road. It is a series of over 20 hairpin bends that wends it's way up...More

The road up to here is frightening, nothing at the edge to stop you rolling over, not very wide and once at the top not a lot of space to park. I must say if you can look over at the top its a fantastic...More

We decided to try doing this walk from Kamari to Perissa, having done it the opposite way round from Perissa to Kamari some years ago. If you start from Kamari, you will begin the trek going up a road made up of numerous zig zag...More

First and foremost, you’re going to get a nice work out climbing up. If you don’t want to walk up the switchbacks you can drive mostly to the top. My husband and I parked at the bottom and climbed all the way and it felt...More
