I went from St Moritz to Tirano and back. Most stunning pass. You get up close to the peaks, glaciers, lakes and waterfalls. The engineering on the train track is just awesome. You can put the windows down half way and get great photos. I...More
We drove up from Tirano in Italy by coach into Switzerland and up the winding roads into the Bernina Pass. The roads are wide enough for coaches but some of the bends are tight so should not be attempted by inexperienced drivers.
However there are...More

We are just back from a week at Lake Como and were taken by coach to St Moritz up the Bernina Pass and down the Maloja Pass back to the hotel. It's a full day and some of the driving would be difficult, esp. with oncoming traffic and tight bends. I would have loved to travel the Glacier Express from Tirano to SM but that was not on offer.
