Unfortunately not well sign posted nor easy to get to due to the ongoing construction at the moment. For historians it should be made more prominent. Lovely place to visit and would love to see an improvement in displaying the historical landmarks

Views are great but the historical significance of this monument are not appreciated with all the broken glass and rubbish strewn around. Visitors leave deeply disappointed.

Statue just stands randomly at a circle in the middle of the residential area with no place to stop and properly inspect. Blink and you’ll miss it.

I expected a cross but this monument is still worthy of a stop over. There are also benches to watch the sea and contemplate the historical event. There, could however, be more information to clarify the historical relevance of the Portuguese seafarers.

Whereas one expects the rubbish around the monument, it would have been great for an information board that explains the relevance of Vasco da Gama. One cannot read the inscription on the stone of the monument at all.

Simple and sincere but with minimal information and so neglected. Donated by the Portuguese government but does our government expect them to come back and maintain it too?
