From our train ride from Jenbach we took the cruise of Lake Achen. It was a beautiful experience! There were several stops where passengers could get down and explore. I would definitely recommend for a day trip.

If you do not want to hike back - take the ship. It is an enjoying 40 minutes ride that will bring you to the other side of the lake.

The ferry offers a very nice way to enjoy the lake at a reasonable price. The views are quite dramatic and the ship we were on was beautifully maintained. Well worth your time.

The ferries run regularly and promptly. If you are staying in the area for a week or more then it may be worth buying the 7-day holiday card which give you free travel on the ferries, cable cars, steam train and entry into the museums

A must when going to Pertisau, a trip on the lake. On a good day sitting outside is a must for taking in the view. Very relaxing and you can get drinks and snacks on board. Ships very clean and and staff very friendly.

Bought a ticket which allowed me to hop on and off the various stops around the Achensee. Whilst the boat was busy on a warm summers day it was possible to find a seat on the upper deck enjoying the outdoors . Snakes are available...More
