We were staying locally for the night and booked a table for 6.30. Our journey of 3 hours to the area turned into a 6 hour journey from hell, so I rang and asked if we could put the booking back an hour, which was...More

The beer is lovely, the building itself is awesome and beautiful, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Just don't fall foul of the locals. My northern tones and rugby shirt was the target of much derision and personal insults.More

This is a really nice friendly pub. Good old fashioned "proper" pub. Beams, roaring fire in winter. Food is very nice and Landlord and Landlady really good hosts.

Often go to the coopers to meet friends to watch a game, more so in the winter months as it only has a courtyard garden. The food is usually homecooked.

Only visited as a drinker, which offered a wide selection of beverages. Smoking area is like a courtyard which offers great shelter from the wind and I hear the food is good. Will be going back.
