This was the end point for our walk from the White Cliffs NT car park. The memorial made me think about the sacrifices made during WWII. The nearby Bluebird Cafe was shut.

A lovely place, to see the memorial, the channel and the surrounding countryside. Perfect for walking, with or without dogs.

Interesting because of its history but I would not have made a special journey for this. We were walking the cliff pathway between Dover and Deal so had to pass by. Sadly the Blue Bird tearooms were closed.
