This was the end point for our walk from the White Cliffs NT car park. The memorial made me think about the sacrifices made during WWII. The nearby Bluebird Cafe was shut.

We were having a look around the area, by car, & spotted the sign for the Dover Patrol Memorial. It's a lovely monument, & lovely to know that these people are remembered so well. Especially looking out over the White Cliffs of Dover, beautiful views....More

A monument built in the early 1920's in a lovely position on the top of the cliffs right at the end of Granville Road. Drive right to the very end, then up a very rough, pot-holed lane to the monument, where there's ample free parking...More

Interesting because of its history but I would not have made a special journey for this. We were walking the cliff pathway between Dover and Deal so had to pass by. Sadly the Blue Bird tearooms were closed.

We walked up from the beach and were rewarded with a fantastic view. We visited again by car. The approach road is in very poor condition but ok with care.
