We took the easy stroll around the water. Lovely views. It really felt like the pacific northwest. Very well marked and all flat. Plenty of parking. Handicapped accessible.

Sadly the Lochan has been drained in the middle of the bird and insect breeding times. Although the walking trails are still there.
It’s too sad seeing the ducklings struggling with no water to swim in. Problem caused by a badly planned maintenance check on the sluice or so I have been led to believe.

What a beautiful spot. Three trails to choose from, we started on the woodland trail and came back on the lochan trail. A few other people around but not so busy as to lose the sense of tranquility.

My partner proposed on the first jettee as you enter the lochan and begin your walk from the left hand side... Absolutely beautiful scenery, view of the pap of glencoe and just stunning nature/wildlife

Locals were really friendly, local nisa, museum and toilets. Loch Leven is at the beginning of the village and there is a lovely cafe and gift shop near by.

Lovely walk either around the Loch or through the forest. If you walk through the forest you’ll come to a great viewing area over Loch Leven and beyond. Good parking to be found.

I loved learning about the history of this place given that Lord Strathcona is a known historical figure back home in Canada. It was a complete surprise for me (a Canadian living in London) to come across.

A beautiful, serene area. We enjoyed taking the yellow and red paths. We walked from the village, which added 40 minutes to the hike. There is parking at the trailhead. I wish I had more time to explore the region. Only saw about 10 people at 4 PM.

We were staying at Glencoe House so had easy access into the grounds of the lochan, but parking can be difficult at the car park as it gets very busy. We walked around it at least 5 times during our recent stay and saw it in all weathers, always beautiful..... There are three walks, red is shortest, blue and yellow a good deal longer and more strenuous. The lochan is popular with dog walkers, must have said hello to dozens of lovely 4 legged friends! It's to be recommended....

This is a gorgeous walk -- there are easier and more difficult walks to choose from. All clearly marked. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there were many people taking advantage of the beautiful December weather. Don't forget your camera (or cameraphone).
