The name of this beach pretty much tells you what you get. It's a long, clean, sandy beach that shelves gently into the sea. Ideal for families having a beach day, or simply for others having a relaxing stroll. Not over commercialised, yet within handy...More

Lovely wide beach sheltered from the breeze with nothing to do except beach things! Apart from an ice cream we found nothing to waste money on and had a great afternoon digging and bathing. Steep steps and slopes down to beach at the Grand Hotel...More

Beach is generally kept in a clean condition and a pleasure to walk along. Plenty of surfers towards the southern end. Parking/cafe/toilets all within easy reach.

Beautiful hot day ruined by dogs all over the beach and cafe area not on leads. Danger to small children and terrifying to people who are afraid of dogs. Should not be allowed on at any time of the year without a lead.

I have visited this beach now for over 40 years and it’s views are still breathtaking. The beach is extremely clean and boasts two places to eat - one at either end. It’s a fabulous place for a walk with or without the kids but...More

It was a miserable and very cold day when we visited and the beach was still beautiful. There were plenty of people on the beach, dog walkers, young families (we were one!) and surf lessons. Access to the beach is by a fairly steep slope....More
