We came over to watch Middle 8 and have a few beers. Brilliant atmosphere- very friendly pub. Very chilled out afternoon 👍

Great traditional pub, well managed and good beer I have always enjoyed a pint or 2 in this very friendly place. Sadly, the brewery have decided to oust the excellent manager, gut the pub and turn it into a sports bar. Maybe that will work better? i doubt it but we will have to wait and see,

We visited yesterday afternoon to see a local band that we like. The pub was very friendly and served the best pink gin with fruit that I have ever had! Bar prices are refreshingly reasonable. Hope to visit again to see another local band.

Probably the worst pub I have ever visited. Although it wasn't busy, it took the incredibly grumpy barmaid nearly 10 minutes to acknowledge we even existed. Ordered 2 soft drinks and a cup of tea. Soft drinks arrived promptly, cup of tea took a further 10-15 minutes. We also ordered food and went into the garden. after 45 minutes our food cam out.... And was given to the group on the table next to us who proceeded to eat it. Went in and asked what was going on and was told we're really busy and the people at table next to us had ordered way before us. Not true. After checking, Little Miss Happy said, "Oh yeah, that was was your meal". No Apology." Explained we had been waiting 45 minutes and our daughter had a stinking headache, to be greeted again with no apology and just a sneer. Finally got our money back and sought out a BK. Which was very nice. My honest opinion?... Wish I could give ZERO stars as this is a dreadful pub, with rude, slow and bloody useless staff. Stay away!

I've been to this pub now and again for 25 years. Always had a good time. There's an outside bit at the back which used to be a favourite Saturday afternoon rest stop, during the summer.
