What an interesting place. A fascinating overview of Katwijk including fishing history, famous artists and its time during the war. It does not sound interesting but it really was. The art work on display was worth the entrance fee on its own.

The "Katwijks museum" gives an excellent view about the life and living in the 19th and 20th century. The set-up of the paintings is beautiful located in old houses.

A great insight of the life of fishermen and their families in the first decaden o the previous century. The smell of ropes and fishing gear goes together with the impression of being back in time.
