Its more a family area or even for older people but still absolutely worth it. Its quiet over there, you get a really large beach with a nice ocean and beautiful nature with lots of rank growths so it seems like less influenced by humans....More

The most famous lighthouse of the Netherlands is nice to climb on a clear day. You can see far away and the locations are signed. Good to take iconic pictures.

Lovely place to spend a few hours. There is a cafe there, and you can pay to visit the lighthouse, we decided to just sit on the beach and try to not get blown away. The beach is great for kids and kite flyers. I...More

We enjoyed the view of the wide beach and other islands. I expected it to be higher (it's around 40 meters) and have a better view but we could still see England (just barely on a nice day), and 2 other of the neighboring wadden...More

If it is sunny and not windy, you will have the best time! The beach is extremely wide, bring your dog, frisbee, football and blanket!

I had to be coaxed into going to the top of the lighthouse. It was worth the climb, which is broken into easy if steep flights between levels. I wouldn't want to be there when it's crowded, but on a cool and windy October day,...More

Not that cheap but rewarding visit: great view, nice view of the control room and a silent witness of a WOII killing at the top floor. Go early (or late) and have the building for yourself.
