We walked up to the museum, which is set on the edge of a crater. The views are beautiful from up there. The museum is small, but nicely curated and interesting mostly for children, but also for adults. Good introduction to the various people who...More

At the top of a hill overlooking a huge crater. There are wonderful views as you can walk around the crater itself. The museum is quite interesting and from the ramparts there are very good views of Teguise

If you are visiting Teguise then a visit to Castillo Santa Barbara is a must. You can drive up to the Castle, or if you are feeling energetic a short but stiff uphill walk from the town. If you want full access for the castle...More

Went there just by looking at good maps and surprised with the views. Amazing views from the castle. Limited parking but not that busy. nomimal 3 euro entry fee to the castle but worth for the view from top of the castle.

Well worth the drive - beautiful views all around and some island history. The castle is visible from miles away literally perched on the edge of a crater (see Google earth satellite view). The entrance was easy to find off the LZ 10 (easy to...More

The steep drive to the castle can be fraught with trying to park. But we’ll worth a visit. The displays in the pirate museum are not brilliant, but give you enough information to enjoy the visit. The views are excellent.

It’s very easy to see the castle from the town of Teguise. Although not very well signposted the entrance can’t be missed. There’s a steep tarmac road up to the top of the volcano and castle. The museum itself is well worth a visit and...More

A great location to spend an hour or so. Set high up on the rim of a volcano sits this old castle overlooking Teguise. Great views of the town and island. A road winds up to the castle that has a small amount of parking...More

An "interesting" drive up a narrow road to get to the summit and access the old "pirate fort", there is a small fee to visit the museum, however the main reason to get to the summit is the absolutely stunning views of the island, on...More

On the outskirts of Teguise it can be reached on foot or by driving. It tells the story of piracy, mainly through posters in both Spanish and English, though there are also video presentations in both languages. It was interesting to learn the names of...More

Hi, there is a toilet - a very clean one. Opposite side of the entrance. No Cafe, but there is a patisserie on the main road prior to turning up the hill to the Castle, on your right hand side.
