Open desolate and baron, a bit sad as it is obvious that the area has been prepared for development and the money or interest has gone. However it's attraction is it's isolation and the walk to see the sunsets.

A walk from the marina to the lighthouse must be one of the nicest things one can do of an afternoon or in the cool of the evening. I have written a full article of this walk (Paseo Maritimo), but I won't just copy and...More

We walked to the lighthouse twice during our stay. The lighthouse is not open to the public but it was interesting to see the difference between the old lighthouse and the new much taller one. This part of the prom is much quieter with less...More

Apart from a good walk along the promenade (bus for the lazy) there is not much to see once you get there, couple of shops nearby.

We took the bus from the hotel to the Lighthouse and scroll back along the promenade. Apart from a very small section it is paved and is accessible to everyone. From the Lighthouse to the Hisperia hotel was just short of 4 miles, with a...More

About a 30 minute stroll from the H10 Timanfaya Palace. Some nice views along the way but nothing to really see and do when you get there. A few bars along the way to stop for a drink and that's about it. Beware there is...More

A great landmark to get your bearings but not worthy of a visit in its own right, it marks the end of the busier part of the promenade.

Remains of old and 1980s lighthouse replacement on peninsula at far west of Playa Blanca. Some bars and hotels about 1km away

Badly in need of attention, covered in graffiti, however if you like watching the sun go down it is magic, with the waves crashing on the rocks. It needs a Cesar Manrique type makeover as it could be a wonderful tourist spot.
