We did the 4 hour tour with Naturanda which included Italica and the monastery. This was an amazing good value led by encyclopaedic Enrique, who was entertaining and thoroughly grounded in his material. Italica wows with its mosaics and its amphitheatre, but the monastery is...More

We visited the monastery before walking on to the tremendous Roman ruins of Italica, as suggested by the Rough Guide. Although we were glad we'd done so, the warning I would like to give is that by doing things in this order you can be...More

Delightful and the female & only member of staff was charming. NOTE-DOOR ONLY OPENS ON HOUR 10-3. No audio-guide but leaflets in English positioned appropriately. Just loved it and just so sad that so much of it remains a virtual ruin & not available to...More

Old building with fascinating history, lovely art by Spanish masters (Martinez Montanez, et.) and place where first Spanish translation of Bible was done.

We visited on the way to Italica (ask the bus driver to let you off at the corner, then just walk down the hill and look for the signs.) Check the opening times before you go. The entrance is a small door in the middle...More

We saw this massive building from the motorway on our way into Seville little thinking it was open to the public as it looked to be derelict. Unfortunately a large part is and will never be renovated as it is of little historical or artistic...More
