Dolphin Sighting Tour with Snorkeling

DOLPHIN OBSERVATION

Dolphin Watching is one of the most requested trips. Dolphins have lived free in Golfo Aranci for a long time and now recognize our boats. It starts from the MARINA DI OLBIA port and we make a tour to the Capo Ceraso and Tavolara islands. We visit the Doctor's Beach and stop for snorkeling. . In our excursions we offer a good aperitif on board based on always fresh Sardinian ingredients. We make numerous stops to enjoy the beautiful sea of Sardinia and take many baths to cool off after sunbathing. Furthermore, on the islet of Figarolo, among the Mediterranean scrub, it is often possible to spot the mouflons that permanently populate the island and, in the period of late summer, the gray herons.
We have experience in the field of boat trips for a long time, our excursion is now known as one of the best trips to do in Olbia and Golfo Aranci. We are waiting for you on board. Happy holiday

DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR!! Unfriendly and ignorant as it can get. Our friend without closed shoes did come back in time (now with closed shoes) for the 17:00 tour. They didn't let us participate anyway and only then told us we could have rented closed shoes. After that they ridiculed us as to why we are not speaking italian. Easly the most impudent, ignorant unfriendly "tourist"-personal (short black haired woman with glasses) I've ever encountered!!!! DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR!!

I have to say we felt a bit mislead, we had been advised at the airport by the travel office and strangely by the car hire representative that this was a must see place in Sardinia so had driven 2 hours to get here. Our guide was very good, she explained the requirement for the tunnel and why it allowed larger ships to take the mined ore away in greater quantities. We got to understand the difficulties of digging the tunnel as we walked along and how it affected jobs and the community. At the end we arrived at the point that the ships used to be loaded and had a good view out to sea and then walked back. This itself is not the mine, you do drive past the abandoned mine on your way to here. I don't really see this as an attraction for children unless there are very interested in industrial/economic history. Certainly our teenage daughter who is interested in history and does history A level was quite bored. On some practical points, the car park is very small and even in late October we were very lucky to be able to get a space. There is a food truck, but you can only pay by cash.

We arrived after parking the car in a tiny carpark. There was a tiny bar or kiosk and there was someone there and a ticket office which looked shut but the lady was smoking on the side and didn't bother coming to the window even when she had to see us standing there for quite a while. We left disappointed.

Amazing views of the Pan di Zuccero on approach to Porto Flavia. Parking is very difficult and most probably you will shoehorn yourself into a tiny space on the roadside. If you haven’t booked tickets prior to arrival there is the likelihood you will have to wait a couple of hours to be able to book a tour. We tried to get tickets online but the linked website had no means to do so. We enquired at the tourist information office in Iglesias and were advised that there would be no problem getting tickets on the day as it wouldn’t be busy! How wrong he was! On a very hot day in September we were disappointed that it was going to be two hours before the tour. We decided not to wait.

This is an old mine of the Sulcis Iglesiente: an impressively ingenious work of engineering to speed up the shipments of minerals. We took the tour in English and our guide was very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining both the scientific/geological aspects and the historical/social context of the mines. We followed his recommendation and went to visit Iglesias and Pozzo Sella next, and we discovered two new gems in the region. Porto Flavia is next to a superb beach and offers breath taking views on the coast.
