Lovely area to stroll around, the step massive steps down to the harbour front along the harbour frontage and to the Navel ships is a delight for anyone interested in strolling along soaking up the atmosphere.

very pleasant and interesting, lovely architecture like most of the old historical centers in Puglia. The waterfront with its castle and cannons is an attraction, specially for children. Not too turistic, keeps it local carachteristics. Plenty of nice places to eat and drink.

Gorgeous area with tiny streets, whitewashed buildings and a real feeling of being so separate from the hustle and bustle of the world. There is a great, well signed walk through the area for your first wander.

We absolutely loved the churches, restaurants and general vibes in Monopoli. The town was vibrant yet humble, not too many tourists (mostly Italians) and local food was delicious.

Monopoli isn't quite yet on the main tourist trail in Puglia, so offers an authentic Puglian Centro Storico experience, as it's very much lived in. Granted, over the last few years its become busier and more gentrified as tourism picks up, but it hasn't lost...More

Really good and well-mentained historic city centre, Great for the after-season and to scroll around as its compact and really picturesquare.

Best place to hire a car would be in Bari airport or in Brindisi airport.
