The historic centre of Monopoli is well worth visiting - and staying in, if you can - as it’s interesting and lively. Many historic places are interesting - and dead! Not this one. Highly recommended.

A beautiful small city on the seashore. It really worth the visit if you are close to it. In the central square few terraces were open. Small streets, nice buildings architecture.

This place was such a nice surprize! It is big, so elegant and incredibly lively. We saw it still with the Christmas decorations. One of our best memories of Puglia!

We arrived here even if it wasn't one of our main sights, but the surprise was huge. It's a beautiful seaside historical village, full of charming narrow streets and baroque squares and churches, and with a huge cathedral just in the middle of the maze...More

Monopoli is a lovely town on the sea with a beautiful old port. It's not very touristy, at least in October when I was there. It's lovely for a ramble around the old centre and around the port. There are a couple of lovely piazzas...More

We parked quite easily next to the old city walls close to the sea and walked around the castle and into the old town through Porto Vecchio at the old harbour, great experience
