This building is now closed - damaged during one of the more recent earthquakes. Grounds were inaccessible and there seems to be a temporary building in the garden - may have been a school library. Sad to see it all shut up.

If this is the Library and Museum in Argostoli, then it is well worth a visit to learn how the island has coped with the numerous earthquakes experienced over the centuries. Argostoli itself is very nice, and a lovely place to chillax at one of...More

The librarian was really helpful although she did not know that best english she still could lead us to the right palce so that we could find books that were really old and the place is very nicely maintained over the years.

Some of the items are thousands of years old! the lady give a free tour and speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable. There is no chage to visit but donations are welcome
