You can see this from so many places in this cute little town. It’s located on the point of the town and has so much history and it’s in great shape. Certainly worth a walk by.

The Pointed Tower has lean to it caused by centuries of river flooding. The tower was used as a prison for drunkards and quarrelsome women. You will see the entrance is 30 feet above the ground.

When you walk into Wertheim you cannot miss the Spitzer Turn or “pointed tower” that welcomes you, and it certainly makes for great pictures. Wertheim sits on the confluence of the Main and Tauber Rivers, and flooding over the past 800 years has caused it...More

Every little German little village worth visiting should have it's own little tower, and this one is pretty nice if you ask me. To be fair I walked past it several times and looked at it fairly closely and the leaning of it wasn't that...More

This is one of the first things that you will notice as you arrive in Wertheim. It was build about 800 years ago. You will have any problem seeing it from many places around Wertheim.

My wife and I saw this building during a river cruise stop. Does it lean? Yes. Does it have a wow factor as a result? Not for either of us. The history of its use was more interesting. It was used as a dungeon of...More

Erected in the 13th century the Spitzer Turm is over 800 years old. It has a noticeable lean due to the centuries of flooding. There are marks on the side of the Spitzer Turm showing the more prominent floods. There are stairs which you can...More

This is a famous watch tower that has copped a lean due to 800 years of flooding of the Main river. It is just of the left bank of the river and is one of the most photographed spots in Wertheim.
