Very nice effort

Very nice effort of local people. You can see unique things just in the centre of Lefkada. Ask for it around- worth to get in and have a look around. Small place, no entrance and sir working there explains so much to you. Highly recommend it

Great insight into Lefkada early history
Jun 2019 • Solo
What a great little hidden treasure trove of the local history of Lefkada.

It's not a big museum but that's it's charm as it's still packed with lots of little gems within its rooms.

I came across it by mistake and decided to go in. I learnt that apart from olives and wine the Venetians made quite the salt producing industry here. There's history about classes of citizens of the time to how life was lived generally.

They open between 10am-1pm then 7pm-10pm making it one of the few places you can pop into at night. And for just a 2 euro entry fee you can't really get better value.

VERY GOOD PRIVATE EFFORT
May 2018 • Couples
It is a small place where you can find some old (antiques) articles. It is maintained from private people. The entrance is free and you can buy a CD with vintage songs. It is worth to visit it and support it.

Charming host of private museum
Oct 2017 • Family
Small private museum run by a charming little Greek fellow. This seems to be his private life collection and he loves it all. He speaks only a small bit of English, but we got what he was telling us for the most part. He has lots of historical pics of the local area as well.
About an hour should do. Entrance fee is a bit flexible. We gave him 10 euros for our family and that got us extra cd copies of the music.
