Nice long beaches ( north and south ) great for dog walking although the tide was out when we went so dog got rather muddy . Take your binoculars for some birdwatching

This is a long, sandy beach which is easily accessible by car and with ample pay and display parking. Before high tide at the correct time of the year large numbers of wading birds may be spotted.

Mainly pebbles and stones but a wide expanse of space though far too many dogs running all over the place (Understand during season they have to be on leads)

Brilliant beach, walk for miles...only word of warning is that if you have a motorhome or high suv with storage on top there is a 2metre height restriction barrier across the parking entrance

This beach has areas of sand great for sandcastles and some pebbles and shells too. It is our favourite beach as it is not as busy in the summer as the nearby hunstanton beach.

We walked to this beach when staying at the Heacham Manor Hotel. There is a wide promenade for walking but generally I didn't enjoy the views because there was a row of houses overlooking the beach. Brancaster Beach, further up the coast was superb.

Good size beach for long long walks. Very special when tide is out. Dog friendly. Bicycle friendly. Very busy in summer time.

This beach does not compare to the superb beaches further round the North Norfolk coast. Hundreds of holiday caravans leading up to the beach which give the place a slightly tacky, 1950s feel. Fine for walking the dog but it's worth just driving a few...More

Pebbly beach that was deserted in mid October and excellent for our dogs to enjoy freely. The odd cafe was open but the majority of shops, amusements and eateries were closed down for the winter. Nearby castle rising Castle ruins are well worth a visit...More

North beach - Disabled parking quite close to the ramp up to the promenade but normal parking a walk away, and pay and display only. Long wide prom and shingle sand beach. Busy in school holidays from families staying in the adjacent park home site....More

There you go - The Fox in Heacham Village. There are certainly loads of dogs running free on the beach and along the shore as this is an ideal exercise area. There are several pubs in Heacham and if you are visiting in the... More
