Really big, quiet, isolated beach. Plenty of parking, decent restaurant across the street, a hidden find!

Palo Seco beach is isolated and remote along a bumpy dirt road with foreboding abandoned unfinished buildings with gang tags. To get to Palo Seco there is only one way in, through an impoverished town even by C.A. standards. There are beggers / addicts that...More

Isolated and beautiful. We enjoyed this Beach on our own. Easy to find but rough road going in. Picnic tables and parking area available. This was one of the highlight of our CR trip.

Palo Seco beach is one of my favourite. We stayed in Manuel Antonio, but drove to Palo Seco every couple of days. Almost not a soul there. This is the place where you can be undisturbed and blend with nature. The best place in Costa...More

Can't believe the huge beautiful beach with note a soul in sight! Bring a picnic and some shade and enjoy the surf. Watch the tide if you have young kids.

We rented a beautiful home on the beach, wonderful vacation spot! Beautiful beach, very secluded. Be prepared for the very rough road if you rent here or visit the beach

Lots of driftwood, hence its name, translates to “dry stick”. Off the beaten path but quiet and private. Lots of sand dollars.

If you are looking for a spot off the beaten path, you’ve found it. A wide, beautiful beach with dark sand that reflects the sky and soft sand, it is lovely for walking. We went twice looking for sand dollars with no luck but found...More

Horrible place. Got robbed. Crack addicts steal from nearby village. This part of Costa Rica is not very safe I don't recommend it

Playa Palo Seco is out of the way coming from Parrita to Quepos and Manuel Antonio. This is a remote place in terms of the number of tourists. The beach is always almost empty and is best for a quiet alone time. Sunsets are amazing.

Driving down there is only really 3 choices. 2 Hotels, I stayed at the Clandestino, it was truly fantastic. The other hotel ( I forget it name) or further down there I drove past some holiday let homes.
