It was so much fun walking the Wildcat path and through town trying to find the wildcat statues. The waitress at our lodge gave us a booklet to check off the cats as we found them. So much fun, and the nature path winds through...More

What a great idea to bring people in to visit. We had fun looking for the different cats my 9 year old had a great time. We only found around 30 out of over 100 cats as we didn’t have a lot of time The...More

Not sure if you did the Wildcat Trail, 10k orbital walk around the village or the Wildcat Experience, our unique treasure hunt for painted models of the Scottish Wildcat - maybe a bit of both? Glad to hear you enjoyed your time in Newtonmore.

On the recommendation of our hotelier, we decided to do the wildcat experience walk. The route is essentially an orbit of Newtonmore taking in a range of environments including a mountain river, a gorge, waterfalls, moorland, forests and urban. We really enjoyed the walk, it...More

Loved this adventure. Pick up a booklet from the local wildcat centre (tourist information) and see how many painted wildcats you xan spot around the village. Great way to get out and exercise
