The steep but short climb from the centre of Gaucin is well worth the sweat and breathlessness when the views open out at the top. Standing in the remains of the structures where roman soldiers and countless others have stood before and since is inspiring....More

Climb the path to the castle and in the lower grounds you will find this charming chapel to Santo Nino. Pause for reflection inside and then enjoy the views from the terrace over Gaucin and dramatic countryside.
