We were staying in a Villa with a pool. We chose a wet cool day to venture down the hill to the baths. Good to see but don't worry if you don't get here. We were very lucky and had it to ourselves. Walk past...More

The architecture of ancient baths is always fascinating to me. These are easily accessible to visit as one wanders through town as they are located in the Piazza della Repubblica. Don't miss it.

Just downhill from the center of town is a parking lot, from which you can easily walk to the baths. You'll come across the first pool quickly, but continue down the dirt road (picnic tables will be to your right) and follow as it curves...More

i have previously reviewed the Great Bath and the good news is that there is now a car park half way down the road to the bath. This cuts out the steep climb on the way back and is a most welcome improvement. Take care,...More

If you want to feel what it was like to walk from Rome to find a hot thermal healing spa- then this is the place. Nothing 'sensational' and that it the whole point- the old stone baths cut in the rock are exactly as they...More

Once we arrived after walking for 15 minutes we enjoyed it with the entire family. Water is around 40 degrees celsius. It's a local hangout point.

We were there in early August 2016 and the basin was empty, clean but try. There are construction works very close so the flow and bathing may hopefully resume soon. I am sure this would be "very good" if it worked. Do not worry, keep...More

I love thermal baths/warm mineral springs. This one required a long drive followed by a very long walk as we were misdirected by well-intentioned locals sending us to different spas around the town. There were no signs. Eventually we found the track down about half...More

We had a heck of a time finding this spot, but were rewarded with a pleasant soak when we did. It's small but charming and historic. We also enjoyed getting off the beaten tourist path and meeting some locals.

A steep track takes to thiese ancient thermal water pools. They are still on use despite the rustical setting and the absence of any facility. We have not taken a bath but we were interested just about the Genius loci.
