Hi Danor I feel I need to tell you that my group was very unhappy with the sand boarding experience and I would definitely not recommend it to others. I do not intend on being rude but it was not worth the funds we paid and we felt that besides offering the boards of which you did not have enough kid sizes you offered nothing else. For the thousands of rands we paid you could have at least offered water or reminded us before we departed that we needed water, as my wife needed to travel back Kms to get us all water and barley partook in the activity. You offered very little explanation and even less assistance and at some stage you just did your own thing. I feel it is my obligation to warn others as this is an activity that is very over priced for what you get and I genuinely feel robbed. We have been on so many activities and realized that in each one there was water offered as well as excellent active well trained instructors but your activity offered none of that. Really unfortunate. Regards, Yoni.

We had a fun experience with Dune Adventures. Our instructor was very patient and helpful, waxing boards are coaching without judgement. The dunes are an easy 15 min walk from the Brenton-on-sea carport (bathrooms here) along a hard-packed beach. The dunes are small, good for beginners. The boards are like snowboards. We wore hiking shoes which worked well. It was very windy the day we went and we didn’t feel like we were full of sand at the end-just in our shoes and socks. I would recommend this as a quick stop along the garden route to offer some fun to your kids. Our kids are 13 and 18. It felt safe and well-organized.

Sand boarding was good fun. A bit more difficult as snow boarding. To bad we had to walk up to get down so fast... But being at the beach compensates it!

I can whole heartedly recommend this activity and as a complete novice to boarding of any kind, I can confirm that this fact did not hinder me at all ! We met our instructor in the car park overlooking the stunning beaches of Brenton-On-Sea and after a +- 20min walk on the beach we arrived at the perfect dune with slopes for beginners as well as more advanced. Our instructor who was top notch , helped us with the board fitting and explained in great detail the technique of sanddune boarding and then after a quick demo it was down to us to have a go ! After a couple of trials we got the hang of it and even moved to the beginner level 2 slope. All in all a great sessions was had, though we regrettably could not do the complete 2 1/2 hours since we had to head back to the hotel for a sun set cruise that has been booked for us. We shall certainly be booking this again when we are back in South Africa next year !!

We found this company offering kajak trips up the Knysna river. Trips tends to be around 3h up a beautifull river george. There are almost no human installations, so you will most likely see only untouched nature/wildlife. What great way to spend a morning in Knysna...
