A glorious art space-- a highlight of the area
Dec 2020
One of the great joys of traveling around Thailand is discovering privately funded non-profit art galleries, and the Khao Yai Art Museum is a real gem.

It is a glorious art space featuring paintings, sculptures and installations by famous and not so famous Thai artists. Both indoor and outdoor display areas, the latter beautifully set in delightful gardens. Lovely staff, great little cafe and a terrific shop upstairs

Gorgeous sculpture gardens - and free!
Sep 2020
A great place for a visit on a nice day. Amazing gardens with gorgeous sculptures is the real highlight although there are three rooms of paintings and sculptures inside which are also interesting.
Amazing that this place is free.
Well worth a half hour visit if you are in Khao Yai.
Thank you to the owners providing such a lovely place.

We were on our way from the Kai Yai National Park up north to Khao Kho when we can across this place. Great spot for a stop and a stroll through the gallery and the garden for an hour, the entry is free of charge. The staff is very friendly and their is also a small shop and a cafe.

A nice excursion for Art Lovers

An interesting free museum of modern art. The power went out during our visit and had not come back on after half an hour so we did not get to see it all. The grounds and sculptures outside are interesting too. I wish there was more information to explain the art.

The best attraction we saw in Khao Yai even if small. Interesting modern art in a lovely setting. A one hour stop will give you a good glimpse.

Superb range of art for appreciation
Feb 2020 • Friends
If you are an art lover, this the place that you should not miss. I was amazed by the art works done by the different artists. I especially like the pieces that uses a great combination of art medium such as watercolour, charcoal, pencil, etc. There are also pieces that had 2 and 3D effect. Other than that there are also statute, etc. Cone take a good look at them.

Small art and statue museum
Jan 2020 • Family
If you like art and statue, this will be the place you can spend 30-45 minutes.

It consists of an indoor museum which u can see some pictures/ paintings. An outdoor area where you can find statues etc.

For me, I like the cafe which they have very good chocolate drinks.

fantastic modern contemporary museum
Jan 2020
We dropped in on our last day in Khao Yai before heading back to Bangkok.
The road or lane leading to this museum was a bit misleading ... simple rural folks' houses. Suddenly, we reached to a beautiful compound with lots of art-works installations and an equally stunning contemporary building that serves as the museum. And the entrance was totally free, a rare thing in Khao Yai actually.

The outdoors artworks were simply stunning.
Indoor displays consist of 3d artworks and contemporary paintings in many mediums except photography,.

There was a simple yet elegant cafe for a cuppa of fresh coffee
The staff on duty were very friendly but very attentive (perhaps to keep an eye on potential vandalism by visitors)

Nice place to relax, enjoy the artworks and escape the hot day

Not a big collection but most interesting.
After the rude treatment in a disappointing winery visit, it was a pleasure to be received by a staff who gave a brief & concise introduction of the Art Museum, layout of display halls in the good English.
What strikes me is the lifelike paintings. A wide array of medium & themes - some provocative. Dont miss the interesting sculptures & installations in the open garden.
Spent an hour including taking photos. Recommend early morn or 4pm onwards for cooler temperatures.
Be respectful. Dont sit or step up to the sculptures.
A pity the souvenir shop & cafe is on 2nd level (no lift)- so my elderly mother cant go up to enjoy the overview.
Suggestion: little magnets or miniatures of the signature pieces would be lovely!
