This is a lovely peaceful place with a level parking place with picnic tables and a tap. There are clean toilets. It is beautifully kept with a church and a shop selling gifts and produce from this Abbey and others. Stayed all afternoon in our motor home. Views of countryside all around.

I was very surprised to find such a working Abbaye that appeared fresh and modern whilst retaining what appears to be ancient traditions. All this is perfectly and no doubt wonderfully managed and balanced with a level of entrepreneurship that is a credit to the sisters. The abbey producers a wonderful cheese that is soaked in a regional nut liquor and matured in the caves, where the sisters balance the commercial aspects with that of prayer and dedication to their religious activities. In addition to this they run a small hotel that allows a retreat for guests as well as a modern shop offering everything from religious artefacts, to locals jams and honey`s . Well worth a visit .

really very expensive for industrial cheese with very little nut wine and not liqueur as indicated in several articles, as far as the jams are concerned, they are only frozen fruits and the fruit pastes are the pulp of frozen fruit. to meditate
