We has a day landing from MS Midnatsol. It probably was the roughest zodiac ride on our trip and some people were fully sprayed with water. We landed on the beach, went to see Magellanic penguins and then had about 1.5hr walk to the settlement....More

Wellcomed by rockshags, tussac birds, kelp gulls and geese, the most surprising wellcome was at the farm/guesthouse where a table was layed ot with the most amazing sweets, cakes and cookies. Time for tea!!

Yes you can easily explore by your self. The island is small and safe and the family living here can help with food supplies but you need to cook yourself. There is only one cabin they rent out. Best to coordinate flights... More
