Driving away from Akaroa we stumbled on these gardens. What a view over Littleton Harbour and the gardens were inspring. Only 2 gardens tend this amazing property, is is fantastic

Found by chance when driving from Govenors Bay to Akaroa, sited on the left on a bend and easily missed, small car park, 15NZ$ entry, beautifully laid out in various rooms with large sculptures and small buildings dotted around the grounds, huge variety of plants...More

Ok, it's smaller than Sissinghurst or Great Dextor but it has the class and interest of those "named" gardens. If you are into that sort of place you will enjoy the diversity of the plants, the design and the sculptures. The setting with the views...More

This is a significant treasure in the Garden City. Owner, Sir Miles Warren has amassed an amazing collection of modern sculpture as well as art works of national significance. Add the harbourside location and the extensive plantings make this garden a joy to visit.
