Mancora was not what we expected. From Loki being completely empty, to being harassed non stop on the street leading to the beach. This was the only part of Perú that we felt unsafe in. The surfers will NOT let foreigners catch a wave (unless your beginner using a surf school) and they continue to yell at you and mock you. The prices of restaurants are 10x more expensive than other areas. If you’re a keen surfer don’t come here, not worth it. I will say though, if you want to sit by your pool or enjoy a good coffee and cocktail you CAN do this 100% but if you’re a surfer, avoid it.

The water is warm and has no stones. You can practice surfing and kitesurfing. There are quite a few good restaurants around.

I went Mancora Beach with my family and the beach was most beautiful and blue, we tasted the food based on fish and the ceviche was delicious. In the afternoon we explored the beach with my family and the sunset was very amazing.

I miss Mancora Beach. It is a fun town. We stayed on the south end at an Airbnb. The Moto Taxi's are cheap and everywhere. Many good restaurants. Good bars and restaurants on the beach. We were a little surprised at the beach having what appeared to be restaurant waste. Maybe bad timing but sliced and trimmed fruits in piles in several spots. I thought maybe lazy kitchen helpers possibly. I would go back.
