The big draw for many visitors is Skye, just a short 30 minute crossing from the mainland and yet a whole other world away once there. But don't let that overshadow the many charms of Raasay and the Small Isles too.

You can't travel around the Hebridean Islands without using a Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry. These Calmacs have made my trip so easy, always on time and make it simple for the foot passenger by having a 'pay once on board' system, with the exception of Stornaway...More

Easy crossing, booked online in advance good alternative to Skye bridge. Easy loading / unloading of our motorcycles. We took the Corran ferry first to the inn at Ardgour then turned left as we left the ferry, some great roads to Mallaig that way.

We travelled from Oban to the Isle of Mull. Check in and loading/unloading was very efficient. The ferry has good facilities, reasonable prices in the cafe and plenty of seating. Great ferry to travel with.

Fantastic service from Caledonian MacBrayne when our hire car had a flat battery on Mull. They provided jumper leads and let us use the ferry to get the car back to the hire car company on the mainland, thus avoiding a huge fee the hire...More

Calmac have trips to the Small Isles with short times ashore for a quick visit to the isles or you can have a no-landing cruise to visit all the islands without going ashore.
