A chance find when driving through from Aviemore to Aberdeen - a hidden gem for just £5 and even this time of year there was plenty to see and the lake/bridge was very picturesque. Even saw a red squirrel !

Stopped to see the gardens and castle - discovered they were closed but managed a brief walk around on the driveway. The gardens look excellent with a very fine bridge over the stream and everything was very peaceful. Walked up to the Hotel which was...More

I had read about this garden on TripAdvisor so put it on the list of gardens to visit on our Scotland trip. When we arrived there was no coffee available as the power had gone off. However the lady there gave us great directions for...More

Seen from the back room the garden looks lovely, but when you walk through it, the garden is even more beautiful. Small stream, Quirky objects, and you end up near the ruins.

We found this by accident but what a lovely spot - even on a rather damp day! The gardens range from woodland to shrubbery, greenhouse and waterside walks. It's run by volunteers and also has an excellent little tea room. A peaceful spot and well-worth...More
