A pleasant walk along a well formed pathway for the first mile or so from Teighmouth. Stairs and steep climb up to the road could limit some people but it is well worth doing the first part of the walk

Lovely views and a couple of refreshment stops on route if needed. The Salty Dog at the end of the sea wall is very reasonable.

For those considering doing this walk, as we did, it is unfortunately closed for maintenance (no indication when it will re-open) so you may wish to check with the council i guess before heading out.

This is a lovely and fairly easy walk with trains regularly roaring past at the beginning and end. There're many refreshment stops at the start in Teignmouth, then a small canteen (open only at weekends in the winter) at the foot of Smuggler's Lane about...More

This walk is fairly flat, well concreted and wide enough for a pram. The wonderful sea views are well worth the effort.
