Fantastic area for a hike, with a river that runs through the forest where you can see crayfish wandering around.

It's not big but certainly worth visiting with kids

This nature reserve is quite unique because of the varied landscape. When we arrived the hail was just stopped so with all the hail that were still on the ground, it was so beautiful. We walked along the "Dinkel" river that partly very dry, the riverbank is beautiful and then we arrrived at the sandy area with only one or two green trees. After that we were back in the woody again.. Good walking path, by the way.

We were lucky enough to visit on a very quiet day in Autumn. The colors were glorious and we hardly saw anyone else. It's a truly beautiful place. Just big enough for a walk but not so big you can get yourself lost. Lovely combination of trees, moss, and mushrooms. Really a nature lover's delight.

Peace and quiet. Great to walk. Stunning place, it has it all; great routes to walk, river De Dinkel going through. And after you have walked, you can sit down at the Pavilion to have something to eat or drink.

This place is a must, when you area. Within a few kilometres from the village of De Lutte, you find this large, green park. The area has various easy walking tours. (3, 5 and 6km loops I believe), that take you through woods and sandy areas with the painteresque river Dinkel running through it. The place has a camping, various nice restaurants, various recreationsl areas, etc. Recommended any time of year.

there are different distances to walk. A lovely fast flowing river meanders through the forest. After a good couple of hours walk a warm soup and coffee in the Luttersand pavilion rounds off the day.
