We pop up here occasionally for a drink. The views are brilliant. Personally I feel it's more for the locals than tourists but I could be wrong. We go in the afternoons. Maybe there's more going on in the evenings.

Do give this place a try. It is on the road up from San Eugenio. It is well marked but you do have to be careful coming back out onto the highway. There is lots of parking available and the most fantastic bird’s eye view across to La Roca Roja and the beaches beyond the golf courses. You can look down over the other hills and valleys and villages. You can walk around the viewing area in a loop and there is a fabulous view wherever you look. Do go into the restaurant. It has huge glass windows with again the most incredible views. We liked the planes landing and taking off from the airport. The restaurant serves food and drinks and has lovely cakes. The staff were very welcoming and smiley. So glad we went in.

This is a beautiful viewing place, easily accessible by road. Taking the road to San Miguel De Abona at the main junction, turn left and follow the road in the general direction of Valle San Lorenzo. The Mirador is signposted BUT BE VERY CAREFUL TURNING LEFT into the approach to the Mirador, it is on a blind bend. The Mirador itself has paved paths and wall gardens with lots of plants. It is a wonderful place to see the south coast laid out below you and it is high enough to see the kestrels hunting their prey. If you are staying on the Golfs (Del Sur or Amarilla) it is fun to try to pick out your place. The majestic Red Rock (La Montaña Rojo) of El Medano looks little more than a molehill! On a clear day you can see the outline of Gran Canaria. Don't miss the bar/ restaurant! You can just pop in for a coffee/beer and a snack or a full meal. The restaurant serves a varied selection of Canarian dishes, as well as the usual chicken and steak options. At the back of the menu the Canarian dishes are explained. It also has a good wine list, all reasonably priced. At weekends it can be very busy with locals enjoying family meals; it is very popular for celebrations.

Do not miss this place when going by car in the south of Tenerife. The view is unbelievably great! When we were there, the restaurant was closed with no hint on opening hours or whether it would open again at all. I can't tell if it is closed for good now. Anyway, the view from up there is awesome and definitely worth a visit even without restaurant.
